Full disclosure: we don’t speak Czech. We have some Czech heritage, but our kolache experience is Texan. Which we do speak when we aren’t stuffing our faces with kolaches. Or klobasniky. Whatever. We don’t really care what you call them!
We grew up eating kolaches in Houston and anywhere in Texas we could find them. We couldn’t find kolaches in Colorado Springs, so we started making them at home. Folks enjoyed our kolaches so much, they suggested we sell some. And here we are!
